About Us
our history
Inclusive Disability Assist (IDA) is deeply connected to the Marsden Families Program, a community initiative with a long and meaningful history of supporting people with disability and their families.
Our story begins with the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre, established in 1929 to create a safe and inclusive space where young people of all abilities could come together, take part in activities, and feel a true sense of belonging.
For decades, the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre was more than just a facility—it was a place of connection, friendship, and opportunity, where young people were encouraged to grow in confidence and independence.
evolution of services
As the needs of the community evolved, so too did the vision. Out of this foundation grew the Marsden Families Program, which recognized that supporting individuals with disability also meant supporting their families and carers.
Our services expanded to wrap around the whole family unit, ensuring that everyone had access to resources, guidance, and community connections that could make daily life easier and more fulfilling.
The Marsden Families Program evolved to provide specialist therapeutic intervention and intensive support services to children, young people, and their families, to assist them to develop the skills, confidence and connections needed to be resilient and capable of actively shaping their own future. This includes the facilitation of the Tertiary Family Intervention Service and Counselling Intervention Service.
our provision of services
In 2021, the Marsden Families Program’s NDIS services were formally rebranded under the name ‘Inclusive Disability Assist’. Inclusive Disability Assist was created as a key part of the overall organization's evolution, bringing together years of experience, knowledge, and community spirit to provide personalized services for people with disability. Building on the legacy of the Frederick Marsden Youth Centre and the Marsden Families Program, IDA continues to place inclusion, respect, and empowerment at the heart of everything we do
