Support for Children
Committed to Supporting Every Child’s Unique Journey with
Care, Respect, and Individualized Support
For over 20 years, Inclusive Disability Assist (IDA) has been dedicated to supporting children with disabilities through its long-standing Marsden Families Program. With a strong foundation built on decades of service, IDA brings significant experience and expertise to every child and family it supports. This depth of knowledge is reflected in the high quality of care, tailored supports, and positive outcomes consistently achieved. Since 2021, the organization has been proudly trading as Inclusive Disability Assist to further distinguish and enhance its delivery of NDIS services. In that time, IDA has supported over 300 children, empowering them to improve their quality of life, build independence, and reach their personal goals in inclusive and meaningful ways
Over 20 years of dedicated support
for children with a disability
Inclusive Disability Assist (IDA) has extensive experience supporting children with disability, having done so for over 20 years through the well-established Marsden Families Program.
This longstanding commitment has equipped IDA with deep knowledge and expertise in delivering age-appropriate, individualized supports that meet the evolving needs of children and their families.
Today, a significant portion of IDA’s overall customer base is comprised of NDIS participants aged between 3 and 18 years, reflecting the organization’s strong focus on early intervention, developmental support, and ongoing care throughout childhood and adolescence.
We design our support around each
child’s specific support needs
At Inclusive Disability Assist (IDA), we provide personalized 1:1 support for children that is tailored to meet each participant's unique needs and goals.
Our dedicated team works closely with families to understand what matters most, ensuring that every support plan is built around the child’s individual interests, developmental goals, and daily living needs.
Supports can take place in the comfort of the participant’s home, out in the community—whether it’s attending events, exploring interests, or building social skills—or at IDA’s welcoming Activities Hub, where children can engage in fun, meaningful, and skill-building experiences. We’re committed to creating safe, inclusive environments where every child can thrive..
Maximizing your child’s NDIS Plan funding with
innovative service delivery options
At Inclusive Disability Assist, we understand that navigating NDIS funding can be challenging, especially when a child’s support needs are immediate, but their plan may not include the level of funding families had hoped for.
That’s why we work closely with parents, support coordinators, and other key stakeholders to ensure supports are not only accessible and timely, but also affordable.
We take a collaborative approach to find innovative, flexible, and NDIS-compliant solutions that help families make the most of their existing funding. Whether it's structuring supports in a way that prioritises key goals, exploring group-based or shared supports, or reviewing service delivery options, our focus is always on maximising value while maintaining the quality of care your child deserves.
We believe in Comprehensive Onboarding
for each and every participant
At Inclusive Disability Assist, we believe that strong foundations lead to meaningful outcomes, which is why we provide a comprehensive onboarding process for every child we support.
This process involves close collaboration and open communication with parents or primary caregivers, whose insights and feedback are deeply valued and essential to shaping the best possible care.
Together, we develop a detailed Care Plan that serves as a central guide for our Support Worker team. This plan includes key information such as your child’s goals, strengths, likes and dislikes, areas for development, diagnosis and health conditions, behavioural considerations, communication methods, mobility needs, and weekly routines.
By taking the time to truly understand each child and their world, we ensure our team is well-equipped to deliver consistent, individualized, and effective support from day one.
Positive Behaviour Support Plan
Implementation
A Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan is a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding and addressing challenging behaviours in individuals, particularly those with disabilities, mental health conditions, or developmental disorders.
PBS plans aim at improving the quality of a person’s life and the people around them. This is done by identifying the functions of challenging behaviours, reaching safe methods of response to challenging behaviours, improving communication and social skills and recommending environmental changes that enhance their lives. The process of plan development involves collaboration with the individual, their family, caregivers, and other support networks to ensure the plan is comprehensive and practical.
A significant portion of participants with a Positive Behaviour Support Plan are children. IDA is registered under ‘NDIS Module 2A: Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans’. This involves following strict NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines including developing and using comprehensive plans, implementing strategies that reduce or eliminate restrictive practices, and ensuring ongoing monitoring and reporting.
This also includes setting positive behavioural expectations, reinforcing desired behaviours, developing skill-building strategies, and making environmental changes to enhance a child’s quality of life.
